Our piping under slab for lifetime protection

During construction, before the foundation/slab is poured, an authorized BugFree® Home system technician will install the system. The Injector2® Piping can be installed under any type of structure - homes, schools, food establishments and commercial buildings. 

The Injector2® Piping is installed around the inside perimeter of the stem wall and can be looped around the pipes that will protrude through the slab. Then the piping will be attached to a service port conveniently mounted on the exterior of the home. Your BugFree® Home system technician can service the entire system from the outside, even when you're not home. 

Total home framing Wood Treatment for additional protection

For more protection we recommend treating and preserve the entire wood framing structure above ground. A licensed BugFree® Home system technician will apply the permanent BugFree® Wood Treatment by spraying all the framing lumber inside the home during construction. By spraying the framing, the treatment soaks into the surface forming a protective barrier that not only kills, but also repels insects, termites and other wood-eating bugs. Bugs hate it! The treatment helps to prevent decay fungi (mold ) that are a common cause of health problems and it also has flame retardant properties. The BugFree® Wood Treatment is safe to use and will not release toxic vapors into your home.  

Detecting Termites under Your Home saves you big money

Common subterranean termite colonies eat about 1 to 2 pounds of wood per year. However, some fast spreading newcomers to America, Formosan termites, eat 100 pounds per year! Currently, termite damage in the US exceeds one billion dollars per year and is growing rapidly!

Utilizing our state-of–the-art detector, your BugFree® Home system  technician can draw an air sample through the Injector2® Piping and detect the presence of termites. Termites eat wood and in the process expel carbon dioxide (CO 2 ).   Since termites expel more CO 2 than all other creatures, the presence of this odorless gas indicates termite infestation. This patented one of kind early warning capability could save you thousands of dollars by itself. Again, it is just another major reason to have The BugFree® System built into your home or building. 

Wrap Around Home Protection

During construction, for additional protection, the BugFree® Wrap can also be installed on the exterior outside wall (before the brick or siding goes on) above where the stem wall meets the foundation.  Because bugs get into your walls by crawling up the foundation or through weep holes in the brick as well as through cracks, this hidden zone is a highway for ants, roaches and scorpions. With your permanent BugFree® Wrap of Injector2® Piping, your BugFree® Home Technician can treat thoroughly and evenly around the entire perimeter of the home.
